Dear Parents,
I would like to take this time to welcome you and your child to our 4th grade class. I am very excited to be a part of your child's journey through elementary school. It will be a fun and busy year.
I was born in New York but I grew up in South Florida. I went to The University of Alabama and received my Bachelor's in Elementary Education. After completing college, I moved back to Florida. I went to Nova Southeastern University and received my Master's in Specific Learning Disabilities. After completing my degrees, I began teaching in South Florida in 2000. I began teaching in a 5th grade class. After teaching for 7 years in Florida, I moved to New York and taught a 7th grade Inclusion Class for 1 year. I then decided in 2008, that I wanted to move to Georgia. It was a great move for me. I ended up coming to teach at a fantastic school. When I moved here, I was a Kindergarten Special Education Teacher and then because the Resource Teacher. This year, I am very excited to be back in the classroom teaching 4th grade Math and Science.
I believe students should enjoy learning and have fun in the process, however, I do expect students to show respect, be responsible, and be attentive.
This is going to be a great year!! Feel free to email me or write me a note with any questions or concerns you may have.
Thank you in advance for your cooperation and support,
Lauren Ochacher
